MOVEfamily

Come celebrate Father’s Day and kick off #Juneteenth2019 week by listening to the recently released and reunited family members from the #MOVE9 crew; Debbie, Mike, and Mike Africa Jr. This is the keynote address for the 2019 Fight Toxic Prisons Convergence.

After surviving a police siege on their home and forty years in prison, both Mike and Debbie were released from prison in 2018. They were then reunited with their son, who Debbie was pregnant with when she was imprisoned. Mike and Debbie were locked up along with seven other members of MOVE, a revolutionary environmental Black liberation organization, in 1978.

Come listen to the Africa’s as they detail their story of love, black liberation, family, and resilience in the face of state terror!

Hope to see you there,

FTP Crew
